After discussion with the people at the Leader newspaper it is probably best if you submit photos to them e-mailed with the pictures stored with the following specifications:

This is assuming that the photos are not to be printed larger than an average 102 x 68mm size. Supplying an image bigger than this to them is pointless as it would be beyond the print quality capabilities of newspaper printing - it would also take longer to send the file as well.
